Editor note: Kenny Mayes contacted the new Twister Special Registry on September 30, 2018 to inform us of his Twister.
Kenny writes:
This Torino is the second of three Twister Specials that I have owned. The first was a Torino that I purchased in Springdale, Arkansas in 1969 when I returned from a tour in Vietnam.
My bride of 48 years and I were married in Charleston, SC in 1970. About 15 minutes after the nuptials we were pulled over for drag racing my best man in his GTO. I have no info on its whereabouts.
The Torino I have now is well documented and in original condition showing 66k miles and showing normal very good condition. It was sold in 1969 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. I purchased it from a friend in New York State about 5 years ago.
The third was a Mach I. The 428 and transmission were missing. I sold it to a friend in Missouri that had all parts necessary to bring it back to life in proper fashion. Not sure where he is on it. Thank you for your work.

Thanks much for responding. We will keep in touch. Your car looks very good. We built that 70 Mach with paint and hood with 69 striping to match hood on Twister Torino. Again thanks. dKenny
